What is the name of the gypsy violinist? Cant find it on many sites though his photo is the focus in many pictures, but no name! And no name in casting either!

30dec09Le Concert (3*) 4nov09 Radu Mihaileanu, (allocine, by swannjiejie) Very quick paced though the story has many holes but that is not a big problem - a collage of good music and fine Russian settings, Le Trou Normand w belly dancer and nobody showing up for a so so dinner, the false set up of "father-daughter" secrets all too quick, and I really liked the Gypsy violinist character - but too short - and his name? Its comical, and the selling of programs + freebie mobile phone + caviar for 200euros, all these details are the sparkles sprinkled here and there - and they got the theatre de Chatelet in the scene - with an preview in the original room too! So somebody knows his profession, whats works, whats a gd package for the public, and hes right! I enjoyed myself - just like the special package offered w several gifts all at once. If you want to see more Tchaikovsky (I do! take my time to listen well, and enjoy!) more gypsy music (I do! take my time to enjoy!) and visit Russia, I do! Its an amazing catalogue of all these things… musicians in markets playing the bassoon etc. All these scenes I would have liked to see it slower longer. But they have to keep in the 90mn frame work? Is that true? This might be a good movie to have an expanded version in dvd. Fun movie - in spite of the background pre-histories, the heaviness, the lost opportunities, the wasted lives.

Je suis allé voir ce film parce que j'avais entendu qu'il était en tête des entrées en France alors qu'il n'a pas eu de campagne ontensive de promotion comme trésor par exemple..La meilleure pub d'un film c'est le bouche à oreille et franchement pour moi, on frise le chef d'oeuvre..L'histoire n'est pas franchement crédible mais le charme opère très vite..De l'humour, de l'action, un rythme soutenu et un dernier quart d'heure rempli d'une émotion qui émeut aux larmes avec cette magnifique musique..Guskov et Mélanie sont très poignants dans ces dernières minuteset on partage leur émotion..Pour moi un chef d'oeuvre du style des choristes ou autre film simple mais vrai..
